Abuse & Spamming:
As a member or visitor to this site, you agree not to upload or post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, unlawful, or threatening material. This includes spamming of the site or its users, threats to site members or administrators, and hate material. Such behaviour will result in banning of the offending party.Abuse of members, by other members or site visitors, will not be tolerated. Abuse is defined as trolling, flaming, personal attacks, stalking, use of profanity, and any other threatening or abusive behaviour.
Absolutely no spamming. This includes spamming the archive, the site administrators and/or site members. Anyone caught spamming will be banned. Examples of what A World Beyond considers spamming: sending or posting of unsolicited messages (especially those not directly relating to fictional works hosted within the archive) such as requests to write a specific story for you, requesting/begging people to read your story (even if it's hosted on another site), asking people to join your RPG/community/what-have-you, and similar behaviour. e.g. requests to the author to archive the story on another website IS acceptable. Requests such as those to join a newly created RPG are NOT.
Accounts & Privacy:
It is a condition of membership that you provide a valid and working email address. Authors are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their password and account, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under their password or account. If you believe unauthorised use of your password or account or any other breach of security has occurred, please contact the site administrator immediately.Account Creation: Usernames should consist of letters, numbers, and the underscore character ONLY. No hyphens or other symbols/characters.
Submissions:
Please read our Submission Rules before attempting to submit any work for approval.Ratings & Warnings:
All stories must have an appropriate rating and be labelled with the correct warnings. It is the responsibility of the reader to check these before reading a story. A World Beyond site admin takes no responsibility for readers accessing/reading material they would normally find offensive or avoid altogether.Plagiarism:
A World Beyond has a strict NO TOLERANCE policy for plagiarism. All stories and series submitted to this archive MUST be the original work of the author. Any works that are found to have been plagiarised from other authors, be they professional or amateur, will be removed from the archive immediately. As well, the plagiarising author will be banned and any other stories of theirs removed. Please report any suspicions of plagiarism to the site administrator.Real Person Fiction:
Real Person Fiction - ie fiction featuring the actors rather than the characters - is strictly forbidden. (Even if they're visiting an alternate reality)Removal of Accounts and/or Stories:
A World Beyond reserves the right to, at any time, decline or remove any stories or accounts that we believe are offensive or inappropriate for this website, or in violation of our Submission Guidelines and these Terms of Service. We also reserve the right to action this without prior notice to the author.As set out in the section above regarding Abuse & Spamming, abusive behaviour or spamming of authors, the website or site administrator will result in the account of the offending party being deleted and banned.
